ANGE POSTECOGLOU has vowed he won’t be rushed into making easy Celtic signings.
Hoops fans are anxious about the lack of transfer activity since the Aussie took over.
Postecoglou is desperate to bring in more players to bolster his threadbare squad, but Covid regulations have complicated matters.
Swedish defender Carl Starfelt and Japanese striker Kyogo Furuhashi are still isolating in London after signing.
The Hoops take on Midtjylland on Wednesday in a vital Champions League qualifier, with academy kids Stephen Welsh, Dane Murray and Anthony Ralston forced to play.
But Postecoglou won’t turn to the UK market just to make it easier to get signings sealed.
He said: “That’s the bit that’s been hard to explain to people.
“I don’t want to make the wrong decisions for this club because of the current situation we’re in.
“It’s about putting together a team that is going to be successful.
“I don’t want to bring people in because they happen to be available and it is easier.“It would have been a lot easier to sign someone from the UK than from Japan. No doubt.
“But I want to resist the temptation of just bringing in people because it might satisfy in the short term.
“It might get people off our backs because we are bringing players in.
“But if they’re the wrong ones, we are going to be revisiting the same problems in 12 months time.“I want the right ones in and because of that it is taking a bit longer.“I understand the frustrations about it. I get frustrated. It’s just the way it is right now.”

Klingt aber jetzt nicht danach, wie wenn in ein paar Tagen der Knoten platzt und dann 3 Neue unterschreiben.
Geduld ist weiter gefragt.
Es ist aber natĂĽrlich schon verwunderlich, dass vor der Verpflichtung von Ange anscheinend hinter den Kulissen nur wenig passiert ist...
