Wir spielen zwar weiter nach vorne, aber ĂĽberhaupt nicht zielstrebig. Wir versuchen es momentan mehr aus der zweiten Reihe, als zu kobinieren. Von Mirren komt ĂĽberhaupt nichts. Die Dons werden da ein ganz anderes Kaliber sein.

Das war mir am Schluss deutlich zu spannend. So Männer, neuer Vereinsrekord, elf mal hintereinander gewonnen und das auch noch ohne Gegentor.

Forster and Celtc made history

Ein absolut verdienter Sieg, welcher viel höher hätte ausfallen müssen. Eigentlich war Mirren nie richtig vor unserem Tor bis 5 Minuten vor Ende alles mit einer schwachen Amrose Aktion anfing. Dann wurde es hektisch und Stokes hat ein 100%iges Tor vermasselt. Ich verstehe bis heute nicht, wie man bei so einer Aktion den Torwar nicht ausspielen kann. Er kann doch den Ball locker auf unseren Derk spielen und der muss nur noch den Fuß dranhalten. Naja das wird sein Geheimnis bleiben, aber dennoch überwiegt die Freude über den zu NULL Sieg. Nächste Woche geht es daheim gg die Dons und das wird einiges schwerer als heute. Die kommen richtig motiviert mit viel Selbstvertrauen zu uns und mit einem großen Support.....

Noch anzumerken ist unser neuer Johanson.... Richtig starkes Spiel. Er strahlt viel Ruhe aus und das brauchen wir einfach habe ich so das GefĂĽhl.

Sehr stark. Jetzt ausruhen und Kraft sammeln fĂĽr Samstag. Ich glaub das wird richtig eng gegen die Dons. Rooney hat voll eingeschlagen bei denen, die haben eine richtig gute Offensive. Gestern 4:0 gegen St Jonstone, schon beeindruckend.

Aber egal, wir werden das Dingens gewinnen!

Ich glaube auch dass es sehr eng wird gegen die Dons. Wir müssen hinten sicher stehen und vorne irgendwie das Dinges machen. Aber ein Härtetest tut der Mannschaft bestimmt gut. Ich hoffe nur wir bestehen diesen.

Manager: I'm looking for a positive reaction

THIS Sunday’s Scottish Premiership clash against St Johnstone will be the Hoops´ first opportunity to make amends following the Scottish Cup exit, with Neil Lennon hinting that he could make some changes to the side.

"Obviously, I´m looking for a reaction," he told this week’s Celtic View. "We might need to look at other players to freshen things up a bit as we looked a bit flat for some reason and I don´t know why, as that hasn´t been evident in the last month or so.

"We have a title to win and an unbeaten record to preserve but we did want the Scottish Cup, and we did prepare very well for it, though the performance didn’t reflect it, and that´s something we need to look at."

Charlie Mulgrew could return to the reckoning after missing out going head-to-head with his former employers with a calf injury.

"I don´t want to make too many radical changes as we have been going well, and hopefully Charlie will be fit as well," said the manager. "He got a bang on the calf on Friday and we gave him as long as possible but he couldn’t get through it.

"Adam got a good 90 minutes against Aberdeen and needs more game-time. Stefan Johansen needs more games and Leigh Griffiths will come into contention along with Derk Boerrigter.

"We just have to be relentless now and win the title. We have to get that out our system as quickly as possible. We can´t get it back and that´s a regret that myself and the players have. There is still a lot of progress to be made, obviously, off the back of that performance.

"We have a title to win and an unbeaten record to preserve and that´s our sole focus now for the rest of the season."

Mulgrew: Our next game is always the most important

SUNDAY’S lunchtime kick-off will see Celtic aiming to make it 25 games unbeaten in the Premiership when they take on St Johnstone at home.

Tommy Wright’s side will have other ideas, of course, and having earned a draw last season and a win the previous year in Glasgow, they will approach the game in confident mood.

Of course, Celtic will be aiming to return to winning ways following the Scottish Cup defeat, and as Charlie Mulgrew explained, the players are determined to produce a good performance and result.

“It will be a hard game,” he said at the pre-match press conference. “We know what St Johnstone are like. They’re a hard-working side and they’ve got some good-quality players.

“I haven’t seen too much of Stevie May, but he’s scored a lot of goals and I’ve heard a lot of good things about him so he’s one we’ll have to watch.

“At a club like Celtic, when you lose or you don’t have a performance, the pressure is on you to bounce back and have a performance and result, and that’s what we intend to do.”

A victory over St Johnstone will make it 25 league games unbeaten, while a victory would make it 13 league wins in a row. And another clean sheet would see Fraser Forster equal the Scottish record of 12, currently held by former Aberdeen keeper, Bobby Clark, who set it back in the 1970s.

There are plenty of incentives for the Celtic players, therefore, as Mulgrew explained.

“We’ve never got carried away,” he said. “The manager’s always been on top of us. He demands high standards every day in training and that’s what has helped us and kept us going.

“We’re not speaking too much about the unbeaten run. It’s hard to ignore at times but we’re just trying to take each game as it comes and hopefully we can win the next one.”





Die Frage ist auch, wie lange die Fans sich mit solchen "Schlagzeilen" etc zufrieden geben. Ich glaube das ist längst vorbei und ob wir nun am Sonntag mit 4-0 gewinnen oder nur ein 1-1 holen würde das die Stimmung im Stadion und in den Spielen danach wenig beeinflussen. Da muss schon mehr kommen.
