Celtic Football Club is delighted to announce a series of pre-season friendly matches as the club begins its preparations for domestic and European glory.
Manager Ronny Deila is keen to stay close to home for important pre-season preparations, something which will give fans a great opportunity to see the first-team in action.
With Celtic Park undergoing normal pre-season groundworks, the team will be based at St. Mirren Park in Paisley for the three pre-season matches. The venue will provide a great setting for three attractive matches involving teams of real pedigree.
Dutch side
Den Bosch will be the visitors on Wednesday July 1 and
Czech giants Dukla Prague on Saturday July 4, in a re-run of Celtic’s famous 1967 European Cup semi final. Next up, the Bhoys will welcome
Real Sociedad on Friday July 10, managed by former Celt Davie Moyes.
The Basque side last faced Celtic in the 1982 European Cup - where a fresh-faced Moyes was among the substitutes for Celtic.
The Club will also be making the trip to Spain to face Spanish side
Eibar in our only away fixture on Saturday, July 18.
Finally, the pre-season schedule will be rounded off with a return to Celtic Park when the Hoops face French Ligue 1 side
Rennes on Saturday, July 25, in a repeat of the UEFA Europa League tie from 2011.
